Cal Jobs in an online resource that allows employers and employment-seekers to post and review job listings, resumes, etc. Employers can even use Cal Jobs to FIND employees.
CalWORKs Welfare-to-Work is an employment program serving eligible adult recipients of cash aid. The program helps CalWORKs participants find jobs and become self-sufficient. Services include: personalized employment plan, work experience, job search workshops, vocational training, college work study, adult education, job readiness assistance, and monthly job fairs. The EDD in Capitola and Watsonville offers MANY services that will be helpful for MANY people. Through the EDD, individuals can access CalJobs and America’s Job Bank, an online listing of available jobs. The EDD offers resume workshops, displaced workers programs and NAFTA programs, a career center that offers technical support, fax machines, etc. Youth Services and Job Searching workshops are also available. Homeless Garden Project

A group of volunteers created the Homeless Garden Project in 1990 to provide a place of safety, beauty, and work opportunities for people who were homeless. Today, the project provides a bounty of activities at the 2.5 acre organic garden, attracting a wide variety of individuals living in Santa Cruz County. Job Training and Mentorship Program
This program provides training and skills to help individuals get and keep a job. It informs individuals of current, open positions in the community, and can give advice and guidance for up to sixth months while individuals look for or are on the job.

The Santa Cruz County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) provides students with the opportunity to acquire career training and technical skills that prepare them for success in a changing workplace and continuing education. ROP, a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accredited program of the Santa Cruz County Office of Education offered in cooperation with county high school districts and the local business community provides job training for youth 16 and older and adults.
